In 1968 Koorosh formed a band at the college in Tehran, where he was a student. The same year the band achieved the first place in the annual Iranian college bands' contest. The band stayed together, even performing at commercial gigs, until their graduation in 1972. Some members of the band, Like Koorosh and the keyboard player continued their musical career in the professional arena.
