In 1997 Koorosh Angali joined the Namāh Dance Company to perform at the San Francisco Ethnic Dance Festival. Here he is seen with the Iraninan choreographer, dancer, and the founder of the Namāh Dance Company, Banafsheh Sayyad, and Irene Masharo. The dance piece, titled The Beloved is Mine, was written based on a Rumi's sonnet (یار مرا، قار مرا، عشق جگرخوار مرا). Koorosh recited the poem along with the dancers movements which were choreographed based on the verses.
